GASTRONOMIC PARIS AND TASTING
Short description
Nowhere in the world do people treat food as reverently as in France. Every gourmet’s dream is to be in a country where food is cult! Recepies, aromatic spices, freshest products, decoration and the rules for serving dishes - all of this is paid close attention!
Yes, everyone knows that France is a country of fine wines, crunchy baguettes and croissants, as well as an insane amount of cheeses, sauces and tempting snacks. But how to understand this endless choice of names: foie gras, Camembert, mille-feuille, Roquefort, Paris-Brest, éclair, brie? Where are the most delicious croissants baked? Where and how to taste oysters? What is foie gras and what is it eaten with? And how to figure out countless types of cheese and wine?
The answers to all this questions are very simple - in the company of our guide! Who, with love and good taste, will introduce you to interesting culinary traditions, stories and life hacks during a gastronomic walk through the Paris of 19th century!
Yes, you heard right! Together with the guide you will take a gastronomic journey through time and find yourself in non-tourist Paris, walking along the secret passages that were chosen by aristocrats in the 18-19th century. Coffee houses, restaurants, pastry shops, small boutiques, theaters, antique shops, art salons, jewelry workshops - you could find anything in the passages!
At the beginning of the 19th century, there were about 150 of them. Unfortunately, the number of passages fell sharply in connection with the reorganization of the city, but today 30 of them remain the hallmark of right-bank Paris. We want to show you this hidden pearls in Paris.
During the tour you will learn the history of French cuisine, look at exclusive gastronomic boutiques and shops and, of course, take part in the tasting. After all, our walk will end in a cozy cheese boutique, where you will try delicious cheeses, accompanied by a glass of wine of your choice!
You will see :
